Peace Parade in Mount Pleasant
Join your neighbors, friends and family this Saturday to Honor Mother's Day and speak out for Peace.
This Saturday, May 13th -- 4pm-6pm
For a PEACE PARADE to
"Promote the Peace…Participate!
Around the Block … and Around the World"
Honor Mothers Day and speak out for PEACE!!
We will march with Music, Banners, Streamers, Puppets, and Poetry to honor our Mothers, Friends and Families.
Share your talents! Bring an instrument, poem, song or just yourself and have a fun time. All ages welcome!!
So Get Up, Stand Up, Dress Up, Speak Up and HOLLA!!!!
Gathering at Lamont Park @ 3pm for dedications, poetry for peace and more!!
(Corner of Lamont St. and Mount Pleasant St.)
Neighborhood Peace Parade Begins at 4pm and will end at Lamont Park for closing celebrations. Sponsored by DC Musicians, Youth and Artists, Youth Leadership Support Network, GMU New Century College students, and University of London Film students.
You are welcome to join the Mothers Day Vigil for Peace at the White House following the parade. Sponsored by Code Pink.
