2nd ever meeting of the Global YOUNG GREENS aimed at energising Young Greens from around the world, sharing ideas and also having fun!

There will be a ‘social forum style’ conference, where participants lead the workshops. Ideas for workshops will be called for later in the year- if you are an expert in forest management, creative media or parliamentary lobbying, let us know!

A major theme of the conference will be what kind of organisation we can form. While we have great hopes of holding regular congresses, seminars, trainings and so on, by the conference we should have a better understanding of what our financial capabilities will be. So, we will hold at least one major workshop on our options as an organisation.

The third day will be the congress part, where we put on our suits and ties and vote. Vote on statutes and campaigns, elect representatives, all that good stuff.

The following day we will go on an excursion to one or more NGO projects in the Nairobi area.

When it’s all over, GYG will offer participants the opportunity to stay in Nairobi and attend the World Social Forum, which attracts over 100 000 people. The World Social Forum will be an amazing event and to encourage people to stay, we will cover accommodation costs until the 25th of January.
