Cos'è

The Teacher Leadership Project provides outstanding classroom teachers with an opportunity to learn how to integrate technology into the curriculum in their classrooms. Teachers attend workshops and seminars, participate in email discussions, journal their experiences, and fulfill assessment and evaluation requirements.

Through a Microsoft grant, TakingITGlobal has developed TIGed, designed for teachers to harness the power of the TakingITGlobal community in a way that fits their needs as educators. Using TIGed, you can give your students access to global perspectives on global issues, new options for expressing their creativity, and an interactive resource to help better engage them in their education -- all in an environment that you control. It allows teachers a safe location for sharing assignments, web links, student blogs, a student gallery to post art work, and a place to share writing.

Two free workshops to introduce TIGed to Washington educators. The intent of the workshops is that teachers will learn about the site, register, share ideas for classroom connections, and utilize the site over the next few months. We will then seek a panel of users to share their experiences with the site at an NCCE session in Spokane in March.

Space is limited to 20 teachers at each location, so register early to get your spot. If you are interested in attending, send an email stating TIGed and desired location (i.e., TIGed Spokane) in the subject area. Exact locations and directions will be provided in early October.
