Take Back the Night (also known as Reclaim the Night) is an international march and rally intended as a protest and direct action against rape and other forms of violence against women.

In Saskatoon, Take Back the Night is presented this year by the Saskatoon Women’s Community Coalition and the USSU Women's Centre. There will be a rally, a march, and a coffee house on Thursday, October 19th. The rally takes place at the Vimy Memorial Bandshell at 6:30 pm, and the march begins at 7:00 pm. We will march to White Buffalo Youth Lodge, where there will be a coffee house featuring the Cracker Cats. Everyone is welcome - including men, who will be present in a support capacity only, and all of the evening’s speakers, leaders, and performers are women.

Two ways to get involved:
1) Seeds of Change Community Centre (525 11th St. E) presents a Radical Cheerleading practice at 3:30 pm on Sunday, October 8th.
2) The USSU Women's Centre is holding a placard-making event the day before the march.

Also, a group of men are baking all the cookies for the coffee house in solidarity. The baking session starts at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14th, at 715 13th St. E. We intend this also as a men's consciousness-raising event. For more information, contact Neil Jones at reydeife@yahoo.ca.
