A GLOBAL DAY OF PLEDGES
THE MARCH OF FROGS FOR CLIMATE
17 JANUARY 2007
ENO Programme organises a special day for a better environment. Climate change is a global problem, and yet each one of us has the power to make a difference. Even small changes in our daily behaviour can help prevent greenhouse emissions without affecting our quality of life. In fact, they can save us money.
As Frank The Frog is a mascot for the campaign, students have made their frogs of recycled paper. They will collect pledges from local people in their frogs and submit them online to ENO Pledge Bank in the Internet.
This global campaign will crystallize on 17th of January 2007 when frogs and students will have their special march day. They will walk in small groups in their communities (banks, shops, public places) , inform people about the climate change and collect pledges from them. One of the frogs will sing the message and students can join the song. We hope to get many pledges.
This invasion of frogs will start at noon local time around the world. First frogs will appear in New Zealand. From East they will spread from Asia to Africa and Europe. The in the western hemispehere more frogs will march in Americas. And the last frogs will appear in Samoa islands.
