Theme from last year was: Global Voices: Human Rights and Global Citizenship and 100 youth from across Alberta participated in this event.
The conference included speakers, interactive workshops, documentary films, and information on global opportunities for youth. The conference highlighted the ways that youth are living examples of solutions to difficult issues of human rights - including bullying, child labour, human rights abuses, conflict, the environment, agriculture, conflict and HIV/AIDS. This conference inspires as it showcases the many ways that youth are educating, raising awareness and making a key contribution as global citizens in their schools and communities, particularly in the area of human rights.
