Food & Drink Fest 2007…the Festival with Taste! is pleased to donate a portion of the proceeds to Breakfast for Learning.
The Food & Drink Fest is back again this year March 30 to April 1, 2007 at the Hamilton Convention Centre. After receiving many rave reviews from exhibitors, dignitaries, local media and the public following the 2006 inaugural show, the Food & Drink Fest continues to grow and is evolving into one of the region's most anticipated annual events.
Show organizers are proud to announce that they will be donating $1.00 from each admission ticket sold to “Breakfast for Learning” (BFL), Canada’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to funding community based student nutrition programs. BFL works to ensure that every child in Canada attends school well nourished and ready to learn by providing funds, nutrition education resources and support to student nutrition programs across the country.
Show organizer Jay Higgins states, “It’s a natural fit to use Food & Drink Fest as a platform to help raise awareness of the importance of food, nutrition and what makes a great community on many different levels. Breakfast for Learning doesn't just feed kids - it nourishes communities! Through our advertising and promotional campaign and by media coverage, we hope to help raise more awareness of this great charity and increase their visibility to promote community and corporate support. Supporting local events and giving people the tools and opportunity to create an even better neighbourhood for themselves and their children is part of the solution and helps create the kind of community we can all be proud to live in and proud to raise our children in. “
Show attendees will experience an exciting variety of wines, specialty beers, and culinary sensations created by some of the Hamilton, Halton & Niagara Regions' most popular restaurants, breweries and wineries. Enjoy terrific live entertainment, fun informative cooking demonstrations all in one great location, and all for a great cause!
