Ray Dirks, curator of the Mennonite Heritage Gallery in Winnipeg and is presenting a visual exploration from his recent trip to Ghana where he lived in a remote village, Dzogadze, for a week. Ray grew up in what was then Zaire. He is an artist who has worked with many international artists, among other things arranging exchanges with artists and their work. Ray writes: "If you’d like to meet the Master Drummer and the Chief (of Dzogadze), if you’d like to see the event that provoked my having to dance, if you’d like to meet children to make the most jaded smile, join us."
