To commemorate World Environment Day 2007, Egerton University is organizing an event to make Kenya Green. The aim is to plant trees around Mau
forest as that is the area that is most affected by human activities leading to massive degradation. The event will also include sensitization of the
local people and those in authority of the need to conserve the forests. A cleanup effort is also planned whereby forest officers and experts in forest management will address participants.
