We are students from the "Technische Universität Ilmenau", Germany, and we organize the 8th "International Student Week in Ilmenau (ISWI 2007). The conference, with the main topic "Education", will take place from June 1st to 10th, 2007 themed "time to think". ISWI is one of the largest international student meetings in the world.

The organisers are deeply convinced of the necessity of intercultural communication and exchange to develop mutual understanding and tolerance. We will invite 350 students from all over the world to experience a week full of interesting lectures, debates, cultural events and group work. The topics for the workshops are "Education as a human right ", "Education in the future", "Psychology of learning", "Media", "Ecology", "Religion", "Science", "Politics" and "Economy". Besides there will be several art groups.
