The Children of Ukraine
Synopsis:
The children of Ukraine Benefit Fashiion Show is being coordinated by the Music For Peace Foundation in collaboration with Israeli fashion designer, Galit Levi http://www.galitlevi.com , Zimbabwean designer, Peter Rabvukwa of the BC Design http://www.africancolours.com/?content/bcdesign.html , and Anna Immanuel of the GOD BLESS THE CHILD, in aid of the Kharkiv Regional Charity Association http://www.syntez.org
The rallying point of this project has been derived from the recent UN Children's Summit held by the UN General Assembly in the USA. That the agreed goals to improve children's lives , should in principle, put young peoples plight on the forefront of the international agenda.
The Children of Ukraine Project
In understanding that the Children of Ukraine deserve the best of life like any other children of the world, in solidarity with those ensuring the welfare of the orphaned ,destitute and needy children, in full appreciation of humankind, and the betterment of young lives across the world, we are in acknowledgement of the fact that "the worst lie of all is that children do not matter". We belive that "recognition of children's need for special care is foremost among those basic understandings about social conduct that we call 'human rights'" This is why we have taken the first step top embark on staging The Children of Ukraine Benefit Fashion Show.
