The New Brunswick Social Forum is based on the principles of the World Social Forum movement which advocated sustainable and responsible alternatives to harmful economic policies and development.
The forum will be an opportunity for groups and individuals to come together to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and devise strategies that support peace, social and economic justice, and a safe environment. The goal is for everyone to walk away from the forum with a renewed sense of solidarity and initiative to take action and be part of the solution and not the problem.
We are planning a full weekend of workshops, presentations, panel discussions, speakers, films, and strategy sessions. Please contact us about participating.
The forum will take place on the UNB Fredericton Campus in Tilly Hall. Lodging will be available in UNB Residences and other amenities will be close by. Childcare will be provided and all facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us about any special needs requirements.
