In Bangladesh, National Federation of Youth Organisations has been selected as the National Lead Agency to organize events and activities in Bangladesh. In 2000 NFYOB become the national lead agency to organize the Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) and it is observing the GYSD successfully in each year. This year NFYOB in collaboration with Hunger Free World and YES Bangladesh Country Network organized a discussion meeting on the Role of the National Lead Agency in observance of the Global Youth Service Day at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Business of the University of Dhaka on 13th April. Mr. Rafiqul Islam Sarkar, Ex-Chief News Editor of Bangladesh Television was present there as the Chief Guest. Mr. Dulal Biswas, Secretary General, NFYOB and Mr. Ataur Rahman Miton, Country Director, Hunger Free World were the main discussant on the theme of the event.
A tree plantation was also organized on 20 April at Hazaribagh organized by NFYOB and Dhakabashi Organization.
On 22 April at 3-30 PM a Youth Gathering and Cleanliness Program will be held at Lalbagh at Azad Muslim Welfare Complex. |
