Rationale for holding this Open Forum:
The Study of National Council for Alcohol and Drugs Abuse of 2006 revealed that in Nyanza, Kisumu is the most affected areas in the region, In our community, it has been affected so much, and this has led to high number of youth engaging themselves to bad behaviors like, some becoming hard-core criminals, which has led to the insecurity in the community.
Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding this Open Forum for youth in the community:
1. Developing the Youths social and Personal competence, including problem solving and Decision making skills
2. Developing assertive skills
3. Promoting healthy life-style
4. Developing relationship for evangelism and discipleship (RED) Approach.
5. Define value and strategies to solve value conflicts. Learn how to deal with different feelings such as pleasure, adventure,risk and frustrations.
