Did you know that the upcoming Saturday July 7th marks the official midway point to the Millennium Development Goals? The Make Poverty History group seeks your support in assessing the progress of Canada and other world nations. Significantly more important than those half term marks in Gym and Calculus, how is Canada faring in its commitments to reduce poverty, hunger, illiteracy, discrimination against women, and environmental degradation by 2015? Come out to the Spring Garden Library the afternoon of July 7 th to see what grades the Halifax Make Poverty History group has given Canada and to learn about extra credit work we can all do to make a difference!
