The Vienna International Model United Nations (VIMUN) is the project of the United Nations Youth and Student Association of Austria - Academic Forum for Foreign Affairs (UNYSA-AUSTRIA - AFA) in order to simulate the real work of the UN.
Therefore a MUN is not only an event where one can meet a wide range of young people but also a serious role play. There the participants are put in place of a delegate of a foreign country and have to negotiate and discuss in order to save the interests of his/her nation.
