League of Arab States Youth Forum
Call for Participation for Youth
19-22 November 2007
The Population policies and Migration Department PPMD/ League of Arab States LAS in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA and the United Nations Development Program UNDP and other regional & International Organizations , will convey the First Forum for the Arab League concerned with youth under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Amre Moussa, LAS Secretary General during the period 19-22 November 2007.
The LAS Youth Forum 2007 is held this year under the Slogan "Youth's Participation in Localizingand Achieving the MDGs" and will focus on two main themes:
§ Major Challenges facing Arab youth, with special emphasis on Employment, Education and Health Issues
§ Youth participation and Empowerment

Aiming at motivating youth empowerment and supporting youth participation, kindly circulate this call for participation and distribute it among interested youth activists to fill one of the applications forms published on the Forum website according to their field of interest.
Deadline to apply on Sunday 15 July 2007
Note That :
Participants from the Civil Society and Cultural Activities : ( Youth Aged 18 – 30 )
- Only chosen youth by the organizing committee will be contacted
- Transportation expenses: will be covered by the Forum (cheapest ticket and the shortest way)
- Accommodation : will be offered by the forum
To Participate in the Knowledge Fair : ( for Organizations )
- Participation in the knowledge fair requires a symbolic contribution to cover exhibitions’ expenses
To Participate as an Observer : ( for Organizations )
- The organization can nominate 1-2 representatives to participate as observers.
- Representatives are not allowed to display any publications, pamphlets, CDs … of the organization during the forum.
- The Observer will cover his own Costs.
