The “Conferencia Internacional de las Américas - CILA 2007” (International Conference of the Americas) will be a meeting point for more than 1,500 young people from the Dominican Republic, Latin America and other regions of the world to work together in an environment of diplomacy and cooperation in search for solutions to the challenges that the international community faces today. CILA 2007 will host the First World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) Latin America and Caribbean Model United Nations Conference, which will simulate 13 different organs and commissions of the United Nations and other regional and international multilateral institutions. Additionally, for our second consecutive year, we will present EXPOCILA 2007: Our Corporate Social Responsibility Fair. In addition, there will be seminars, conferences, workshops and exhibitions with topics directly related to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The working languages will be Spanish, English and French. The encounter will be hosted at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from October 10th to the 14th, 2007.
