How should research best be approached in development work? The aim of this course is to give you the tools to use research as effectively as possible in your work. It will provide understanding on how research is used in development work, incorporating a selection of key areas such as: planning effective research, choosing who should conduct the research, managing the research process, how to ensure quality in data gathering, how to choose between methods. It will also draw on practical examples of research undertaken in the development field by practitioners.
