International Youth Conference on Young People and Local Authorities in a European Context
03 – 05 October, Stara Zagora City, Bulgaria

This event is to celebrate 10-year traditions in empowering Stara Zagora youth, active interaction with local authorities, promting European values and encouraging young people to emerge as social stakeholders. The conference will enable us to share experience and lessons learned in our everyday work as well as needs, prospects and challenges. Building new partnerships and having fun is also an integral part!
Who is elegible to participate?
All European youth leaders (16-30) are welcome! They are expected to be willing to share the European models which they apply (or invent) in their everyday cooperation with local authorities. Participants will be selected on competative basis since funds are limited.
What are organizers in charge of?
They will fund accommodation (2 nights at Zheleznik Hotel, Stara Zagora) and refreshments (6 meals – 2 x breakfast, lunch and dinner). Furthermore, they are responsible for an exclusive conference and...loads of fun!
What are the topics going to be like?
We shall present the instruments young people use in their interaction with local authorities (outlined in the Revised European Charter on Youth Participation in the Life of Authorities and Regions), share good practices, come up with common solutions and ideas, etc. For more information – please take a look at the agenda enclosed.
How could I participate?
Please direct all your inquiries (travel, accommodation, agenda, etc) and doubts to Rosen Dimov at rosen.dimov@gmail.com . The deadline to submit your application forms to the same email address is 18.09.2007, 00:00 CET. Applicants who did not comply with the closing date and time will not be taken into consideration!
No matter whether you are selected to participate or not, you can send Microsoft Powerpoint contributions to the conference prior to 25.09.2007 at mladiteimestnatavlast@gmail.com . The presentations (restiction: 15 slides) will be handed out to all delegates. You will also be included in the mailgroup of all participants so that you can communicate with them.

You can arrive at any port in Bulgaria. If you use a bus to come to Stara Zagora, it will usually take you no more than 3 and a half hours. Additionally, we can arrange someone to take you from the airport or give you elaborate instructions how to get to the conference venue.
