Volunteer Learning and Management Training.

Stay Alive Youth Support Group (SAYSG) is committed to fighting HIV/AIDS and stigma in Makadara Constituency at a volunteer level networking with other youth groups in Nairobi. Members of SAYSG have explored a range of approaches to national volunteering, including supporting linking programmes and training programmes that enable them to work alongside each other, share experiences and learn in order to develop positive and practical new approaches to their work that engender a sense of mutual learning.

We are sending you this form in relation to your request for training on Volunteer Management from 21-22nd September 2007 at SOS Youth Center in Outering. The training on Volunteer Management will focus on elements around understanding volunteerism, planning for volunteer programmes, volunteer policies, defining volunteer roles, identifying tasks, recruitment, selection, induction, training, support, retention and evaluation.

The training will cost Ksh 300 which will cater for meals, stationery and certificate during the 2 days training.
There will no be allowance provided to the participants. The age brackets of the participants is 18 - 35
The successful candidates will be recruited to a forth coming awareness campaign in Makadara constituency that will take place October – December 2007.
Training is limited to 40 Participants on a first come basis.
