This is part of an ongoing speaker series and will be in the from of a lecture.
Mr. Arar is a Canadian citizen who was deported to Syria by the CIA, with the full knowledge of the RCMP, where he was imprisoned and tortured. Four years later, he was cleared of all terrorism allegation by a Canadian Commission of Inquiry.
This lecture will involve the topics of extraordinary rendition, human rights, torture, and justice.
Tickets will be sold at the SFUO (UCU 07).
