DetailsAbout
On Monday, September 23, 1957, nine brave students set off for Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas to continue the federal mandate of integration. Join Dr. Terrence Roberts and Elizabeth Eckford, two of the famous “Little Rock Nine”, in conversation as they look back on the impact and the legacy of their actions that day. Excerpts of short films created by Boston Public School students profiling some of Boston’s local heroes will be shown. This event is related to featured lessons in the Choosing to Participate study guide and Choices in Little Rock teaching unit.
