Location

Global Peace Forum 2008 will take place in a city of Cairo in Egypt. For more useful info on the country please visit our section Egypt.

Place of the venue

The conference will be held in the conference room of the "Flamenco Hotel Cairo", modern, deluxe, first class, international hotel, located in the heart of the residential and diplomatic sector of Zamalek Island in the city of Cairo, overlooking the Nile River. The rooms of The Hotel Flamenco have all been recently refurbished to answer to the highest of International standards. Accommodation

We can assist international participants in arranging their accommodation, during their stay in Cairo. We have obtained special prices for our participants if they chose to book the hotel via our organization, in the hotel where the conference is held - "Golden Tulip Flamenco Hotel Cairo". The price in a double room is 35 EUR and the price in a single room is 55 EUR. Those prices are per day, per person.

You may also choose among many conveniently located and reasonable priced hotels or hostels in the city center that are of an easy access from the Conference venue.

Meals

All the lunches and coffee breaks during the Conference are organized and included in the Conference fee as well as networking dinner that will take place on April 26th 2008.

Financial Support

Due to our not for profit nature and very limited funds, we are not able to provide financial support that would cover Conference fee, accommodation or travel expenses to any of our participants. However, we encourage participants to search for funding from outside organizations and we can provide a letter of support for them.

Applications

Applications are being accepted on a rolling admission basis and are considered in order as they are received. The number of people who will be invited to participate in this highly interesting and challenging program is limited to 50. Therefore, we encourage everyone to apply early. Successful applicants will be notified, at latest, within 15 days after the application process is closed.

Abstracts/ Papers Submissions

If interested in presenting a paper/ research at the Conference, you can submit your abstract along with the application form by March 10th 2008. Full papers are due April 15th 2008 in electronic version and following format:

· A4 size paper

· Single line space, preferably Times New Roman 12 font.

· Abstract of maximum 200 words on first page (under title)

· Total paper length to be maximum of 12,000 words (approximately 24 full pages)

· Short bio-data of writer/s at end of paper.

Acceptance

All submissions (papers, detailed executive summaries, cases, and panel proposals) will be reviewed, and acceptance/rejection is based upon quality of application and relevance to the conference.

Agenda

Conference Agenda will be available in March 2008 after the list of participants and presentations is finalized.
