From July 7th - August 1st, 2008 the annual Leyden-Amsterdam-Columbia Summer Program in American Law will take place in Leiden.
This program, currently in its forty-sixth year, alternates between the Law Schools of Leiden and Amsterdam.
The program is designed to provide a wide and general introduction to the American legal system with emphasis on areas such as Litigation, Contracts, US Criminal Law and Comparative Venture Capital.
The Columbia Summer Program is taught by professors from Columbia University, who travel to the Netherlands specifically for the Columbia Summer Program. Their indepth knowledge guarantees high academic level
teaching. Besides the excellent educational aspects, the Columbia Summer Program is also known for its exceptional fine atmosphere amongst participants and professors from Columbia University.

The participants
Eligible to the Columbia Summer Program are law graduates who are professionally active in the practice of law, industry, commerce, government, international organizations or related activities.
Law students may be admitted if they are in an advanced phase of their study. Excellent knowledge of the English language is a requirement for the program.
