DetailsAbout
The Asian Regional Conference for the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) will be held from 13 through 15 January 2003 in Tokyo.

The World Summit on the Information Society will provide a unique opportunity for the international community to develop a better understanding of the revolution in information and communications technology (ICT), and its impact on countries worldwide.

ICT will play a key role in the future development of the whole of Asia. It is therefore crucial that, through this preparatory meeting in Tokyo, the interests and opinions of Asian countries on relevant issues be discussed, and our visions related to ICT be combined a set of specific proposals.

We welcome a wide participation from Asian governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society in order to make this conference a success.
