In the City of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

If you want to experience the world in a different and challenging way, it’s time for you to join the Mission Be the Change! in Brazil.

This summer, you can join us for a 10 days mission to explore first hand samples of best practices of community work and youth engagement in the city of São Paulo and Santos.

You will have the unique opportunity to discover a new exciting culture while gaining “hands on experience” in various NGOs and projects in Brazil!

Also, you will have the chance of getting to know interesting and fun people from all over the world, as well as creating a powerful network for global Change! We are expecting between 10 to 35 people of diverse origins and backgrounds

Above all, this programme works both ways! Not only you can see and learn from successfully run projects in Brazil, but also the Brazilian organizations can learn from you and your personal experience and background. Everyone wins!!!


What to expect?

- Constructing community houses for young people;
- Discovering the challenges of a community kitchen;
- Visiting Eco-Park; paper-recycling cooperative developed by young people as well as community markets and cultural fairs;
-Discussing, exchanging and sharing information and experiences;
- Beach activities in Santos;
- Typical food;
- Capoeira Workshop;
- and Much more…

* Students that want to learn more about the NGO world, youth activism or discover volunteer opportunities;
* Philanthropists looking for meaningful projects to support;
* Activists and Volunteers that want to witness different approaches to youth work or searching next opportunities to get involved;
* Journalists that want to meet new groups or see new projects and find new stories;
* Business leaders who are curious about the non-profit world and want to see success stories of corporate philanthropy;
* Social entrepreneurs that want to share experiences and see new ways of overcoming social challenges;
* Members of social movements, non-profit professionals or governmental representatives that want to network and expand their knowledge of youth engagement, youth polices and organizations
* Common Citizens that are interested in youth, NGOs, and social movements.

This opportunity is Open for anyone that believes in making a difference!!!

Accommodation:
The Group will be staying in the hotel "Formula 1" famous for its comfort, security and low price. It’s an Ideal place to relax and get ready for the next day.
Everyone will share a room with another participant; however, if you have a special request of being alone, some negotiations are possible.

Costs:
The programme fee is £800 (British pounds) and includes shared bedroom in Hotel for 10 nights, three meals a day, activity materials, translation, cultural programme (capoeira classes, musical performances, etc), transport in Brazil, transfer from/to Guarulhos Airport, orientation before, during and after the programme and a small donation to all organizations visited.
