The International Conference on Information Technology is an Annual Conference, Exhibition and Gala Night. The focus of this year's conference is to discuss current and future developments as it relates to the public service (Ministries, Parastatals and Corporate Organisations) at the Federal and State levels as well as enhancing e-government.
Objectives include:
* To foster the development of Information Technology in general and create an atmosphere that would stimulate the use of IT in the public sector in Nigeria
* To identify and address security matters in the IT sector in terms of software and networking infrastructure
* To proffer solutions to challenges of IT legislation and Intellectual Property Rights within the framework of Information Technology in the Nigerian environment
* To examine and enlighten participants on the latest technologies and applications in the global industry as they relate to the provision of efficient and quality service delivery in all aspects of national life. Success stories on e-government shall be presented. The Nigerian e-government programme will also be discussed.
* To showcase new developments and trends in the global IT industry by way of exhibition of various components that are relevant to the public sector and citizenry.
* To recognize and reward government institutions that have made outstanding contribution to the development of Information Technology in Nigeria.

Focus includes:
* e-Government: Transformation to citizen-centered, Simple, Moral, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent (SMART) governance
* Strategies for IT policy implementation
* Security issues
* Legal Issues: Creating Enabling Legal Environment for IT Development.
* Sectoral Applications of IT: Education, National Health Management, Transportation, Finance, Commerce and National Civic Registration
* IT infrastructure development
