DetailsAbout
The Constellation for AIDS Competence and the Asian Development Bank organize an International Knowledge Fair on 10-12 December 2008, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Come to learn and share your experience!

This invitation is open to NGOs and community representatives from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and Thailand, involved in the ADB-NGO Competence Process.

Other organisations are also welcome to participate.
We are all human. We all have something to learn and something to share. The International Knowledge Fair is a great opportunity for us to explore what we have in common and what we can learn from each other.

During the International Knowledge Fair, we will learn and share about:

How communities develop their AIDS Competences?
Communities are experts in their own context. They find
their own unique solutions to solve their problems, depending
on their strengths and vulnerabilities. “Street children are now taking their own decisions in assessingtheir risk and measuring the change they want to see. They are proud that they recognize their risk and they are very eager to change them.” John Piermont Montilla from the Philippines.

How facilitators from six countries stimulate communities
to develop their AIDS Competences?

145 facilitators in six countries have practices the AIDS Competence

Process for a year and half. Their representatives
will share how to best facilitate the AIDS Competence Process and to adapt it to your own context.
“I am happy for this perspective on the projects we are
doing. This will be a more lasting method. Projects may
come and go but I am confident that this process will last.”
Joe from India.

To participate in the International Knowledge Fair, please contact Lawan Vejapikul (lawan@aidscompetence.org or tel: + 66 53 894228) before 1 November.

Participants will cover their own travel costs. Accomodation and meals will be provided by the Constellation for the NGOs participating in the ADB-NGO Competence Process. Representatives from other organisations will cover their own travel, accomodation and per diem costs, plus a registration fee of 100 USD.
