DetailsAbout
This course is designed to familiarise participants with a conflict sensitive approach to programming. It will follow the programme/project cycle and offer participants a practical way to implement conflict sensitivity into each of the 3 stages in the life of a programme – starting with the planning process, through implementation, to the monitoring and evaluation phase.

It will help you analyse the context within which you work, drawing on specific conflict analysis tools to reveal underlying causes, risks and possible entry points. The course will then explore the possible effects of conflict on your programme and identify how conflict intervention skills and strategies can be used effectively for programme implementation. Finally, participants will explore approaches and apply tools to enable them to assess how their programmatic activities contribute to the bigger picture of peace and conflict in their specific contexts and how peace and conflict impact onto their programmes.

The course is structured in a way that will ensure that conflict sensitivity can easily and practically be integrated into programme planning and that this will lead to the effective implementation and evaluation of your programme.
