DetailsAbout
This is a peaceful vigil for Peace in the DR Congo,

So far the Congo is the biggest conflict since WWII and has not received enough attention from the international community,

There are 30,000 child soldiers in the DR Congo and the majority of rapes used as a weapon of war are in the DRC.

The atrocities in the DRC have gone neglected for too long,

Canada DECREASED it's aid to the DR Congo in the last year.

Please join us for this day of human rights,

there will be music, and a candle light vigil,

Speakers include NDP & Liberal Members Of Parliament, UBC Professors of International Relations, Langara College Professors, Senators, and activists

There will also be letter writing and petitions.
