Fair Trade: it's what justice tastes like.
Here's how it works. Coffee and Co. will be open for business as usual, with the following exceptions:
1) We'll be there, too! MUN-EWB members will be on hand to give you information on Fair Trade and other ways to be a socially responsible consumer. Naturally, we'd also be able to give you the skinny on what our Chapter's up to and how to get involved.
2) Local performers will be donating some of their time to attract and entertain you. For our first Fair Trade night we have
7:00-7:45 Andreu Wrice and Susan Wyse
8:30-9:15 Alison Corbett
All three are very talented musicians and we know you'll be as impressed by them as we are.
3) A portion of the proceeds from any of the numerous Fair Trade goods available at Coffee and Co. will be donated to MUN-EWB to help fund our activities! This year, not only are we stepping up our outreach campaigns in MUN, around St. John's and in local schools, we're sending two MUN students overseas for four months and partly funding a longer-term EWB volunteer for the entire year.
Admission is by donation. Come down, enjoy the music, and find out how you can make a difference.
