The South American Business Forum (SABF) is an event that takes place annually in Buenos Aires for 3 days in the month of August. Each year the forum receives 100 outstanding university students from around the world, together with 40 leaders of business, political, academic and social areas.
The topic of the 2009 SABF, "New Paradigms, New Challenges", pretends to question the functioning and viability of our current global system because of the several issues that have arisen on a social, environmental and economic level. How these different tendencies are altering the existing paradigms?
During the three-day conference, students will be able to interact with peers from around the world, as well as with prominent leaders of the academic, business and political spheres, debating about several current issues related to our region. It is, furthermore, a unique experience in which the cultural exchange that is generated adds to the personal and professional formation of the participants.
To apply, students must enter here: http://apply.sabf.org.ar . There, they must complete their personal information and load a text of their authorship about one of the three topics that emerge from the central theme: "Education and Collaboration: a New Approach to Development", "Environment and Sustainability: From Discussion to Action" and "Opportunities in a Changing Economy".
The application period closes on May 10th; after that date, an independent jury will select the 100 best contributions to select the students that will attend the event.
