Stomach This! 2.7 million Canadians are food insecure.
Food security: exists when everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious
food to meet their needs for a healthy life.
Do you think everyone in your community has access to healthy food?
Is food a right or a privilege?
Do you think about where your food comes from?
Want to work with other students and the community?
APPLY NOW to become a trained peer educator on food security in your
community.
When: Saturday, March 21st 9:30-5
Where: Downtown Toronto
Who: 20 selected youth (aged 15-24) from in and around the GTA
What: Stomach This! - a workshop on food security
This event is FREE and includes a lunch (a limited number of travel
bursaries are available).
You will learn:
-The difference between hunger & food security
-The impacts and barriers of food security
-How to map where the food in your community comes from
-To understand policy and how different levels of government are organized
-How to TAKE ACTION by changing your own food choices and mobilizing your community to make change
-How to deliver your OWN workshop
