This event is part of a another event, Global Youth Service Day 2009
National Youth Commission start 2009GYSD with the whole world on April 25th. Cooperate with GYSD global services, holding “youth volunteer for regional peace” series activities start news conference for initiating promotion. Through GYSD inauguration and service action to ignite a series activity of 98 Youth volunteer of regional peace and call for the youth to join volunteer services. NYC plane to let the youth experiencing the services related to minority groups. Arranging the youth volunteers and officers to join BOCCIA, an activity hold by The cerebral palsy association of R.O.C, let the youth volunteers experiencing the service with empathy, learning care about others with love and helping the minority groups with realistic actions. Through the process of being volunteers to know the minority groups’ demand and need.
Last year (2008), there were around 270,000 youth volunteers and 8,000 teams working for GYSD in Taiwan. This year, proposing a service action innovative proposal of hoping to reach 3,000 teams, National Youth Commission positively summons 150,000 young volunteers. |
