SHIELD and FILTER is a two year intervention aiming to put young ICT users in a cradle free from pornographic exposure by technologically sieving out such infamous material accessed through the Internet and filling the vacuum with on-line Informative & constructive libraries of educative material. This will be done using Information Technology (the very same which fathered the Internet).
The target group of this project is by far users between the ages of 9-30 years. These are the main beneficiaries of this ICT era and targeting them will help escalate the effectiveness and sustainability of the project. This Project will address schools, colleges, universities and institutions plus public places. This approach will also include Sensitization through distribution of readable materials, stickers, flyers and billboards in prime areas combined with seminars, workshops and open forums.
