JUSTIFICATION

Peace is learned and practiced. Each individual must acquire the knowledge and skills that enhance his/her ability (or capacity) to act for peace. The International youth Summer School seeks not only provide participants the opportunity to acquired basic knowledge related to peace, virtues such as discipline, civility, compassion, tolerance and respect for others but also learns to act in a peaceful manner. The internal life in “the school” can be a source of peace such as having meals as a family, activities, games, Television etc…. This will be made complete by outing, trips, commitments, contacts with other nationals. By dint of this learning process that peace will be cultivate in the heart and mind of the participants.

In this new era, people’s action constantly – if often unwittingly- affect the lives of others living far away. Therefore no calling is more noble, and no responsibility greater, than that of enabling men, women and children, in cities and villages around the world, to make their lives better. This requires a broader effort to create a shared future, based upon our common humanity in all its diversity.

The doctrine of peace behove on each and every one of us to be more conscious of the need to thoroughly understand what it is to acquire the aptitude to manage positive relation, have a sense of social responsibility and ethical maturity for, with all due consideration, one can only build peace by, firstly living as a model of peace oneself.

Its one opportunity that should not be let go, for the changes we want to see in this world is ourselves, so please take your stand.
