Bruce Mau is a visionary, a global thinker and a world-leading design
innovator. He believes that the power of design is boundless, and has
the capacity to bring positive change into the world on a global
scale. As the complex challenges of the future exist across
disciplines and industries, Mau is committed to interdisciplinary and
purpose-driven innovation.
Bruce Mau has been appointed artistic Director of The Denver Biennial
of the Americas which will launch in June of 2010.
The Denver Biennial of the Americas will be a citywide, international
cultural event, with exhibitions, public programs and signature art
installations celebrating the power of ingenuity and the imagination
of the Western Hemisphere. Once every two years, some of the world’s
greatest innovators will convene in Denver, tap into a dynamic local
community of creative thinkers, and together galvanize a
citizen-driven movement toward cross-cultural understanding and global
cooperation. In doing so, the Biennial hopes to forge solutions to
some of the world’s most pressing issues. For the Biennial Mau and
his studio will develop a multi-platform expression of the In Good We
Trust Project. Tackling issues from the economy and health to
education and the environment, In Good We Trust will bring people
together to create a global discussion and provide the tools to
inspire a community to action.
The theme of the inagural Biennial is In Good We Trust. This stems
from the work of Massive Change. This project
mapped the power and promise of design at a time when we must ask
ourselves: “now that we can do anything, what will we do?” Massive
Change was also a critically acclaimed book.
For the Biennial Mau and his studio will develop a multi-platform
expression of the In Good We Trust Project. Tackling issues from the
economy and health to education and the environment, In Good We Trust
will bring people together to create a global discussion and provide
the tools to inspire a community to action.

Bruce Mau é um visionário, um pensador global e um líder inovador em design mundial. Bruce Mau foi nomeado como Diretor Artístico da Denver Biennial of the Americas que será lançada em Junho de 2010. Denver Biennial of the Americas será um evento cultural internacional, com exibições, programas públicos e assinatura de instalações artísticas celebrando o poder da ingenuidade e imaginação do Hemisfério Ocidental.

O Tema da Biennial é In Good We Trust ("No Bom Nós Confiamos"). Isso providencia o trabalho para Mudança Massiva. Esse projeto desperta o poder e a esperança do design quando podemos solicitar à todos nós: "agora que podemos fazer qualquer coisa, o quê realmente vamos fazer?" Massive Change foi também um aclamado livro.
