The Caribbean Education Foundation, Inc. (CEF) is a registered 501(c)(3) tax deductible nonprofit organization. It enables poor children to have meaningful access to quality education in the Caribbean.
CEF awards students scholarships to pay school fees, purchase text books, school supplies, uniforms, meals and transportation.
The Visa Platinum Launch Fundraiser is to benefit the CEF Scholarship Programs in its current mission country of Jamaica for 2009-2010 school year. There is NO "free public high school education" in Jamaica and thousands of 11-year-old children are unable to attend junior high/high schools because families are unable to pay school related costs.
CEF's goal is to provide children with the essential tools to help break the poverty cycle and give youth meaningful choices and opportunities in this world.
