Recent investigation revealed that more than 8.5 million Africans were died between 1998-2008 due to socio-political engineering crises like socio-political chaos in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria, Congo, Niger and some other African nations. Indeed, Africa (excluding Middle East) has the highest number of survivors of the socio-political crises that are engulfed the continent between 1998-2008, i.e. in the last decade. Many of these survivors have turned to young militants, school drop outs, prostitutes, armed robbers, and cyber criminals as a result of inadequate care by African governments, absence of local and international care agencies, high rates of poverty among the African survivors, and many other factors.
Cares for Survivors International Conference is aimed at creating massive awareness, and deliberating on various ways of taking care of survivors. It would be an avenue for the participants to discuss the issues of good governance, democracy and electioneering activities, MDGs, youth empowerment programs, Volunteerism, etc.
Rationale:
How do young people develop their ideas, notions about participation in social and community activities; how can African government take adequate cares of survivors in Africa; how can we prevent socio-political engineering violence; how can young people volunteer their times for the development of their nations? These concerns are important and there is great need for African youths, young people from other nations, international donor's agencies, Humanitarian organizations, African governments, etc to discuss. The conference would allow the participants to explore and further discuss:
-Different ways of volunteering for the development of one’s nation.

-Good governance, democracy and electioneering activities
-MDGs & youth empowerment programs
