PORT HARCOURT YOUTH CONFERENCE FOR YOUTHS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14 -22YEARS
THEME: “THE WAY FORWORD”
GOALS OF THIS CONFERENCE:
1 ASSIST YOUTHS WITH CAREER EXPLORATION IN THE ENGINEERING, HEALTHCARE, CONSTRUCTION, TECHNOLOGY/ARTS, BANKING, OIL AND GAS, INFORMATION, EDUCATION, ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRIES ETC
2 ENABLE YOUTHS TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO BE FINANCIALLY STABLE YOUNG ADULTS AND TO DISCOVER THE ACTUAL VALUE OF TIME.
3 MAKE YOUTHS KNOW THEMSELVES, IDENTIFY THEIR GOALS, AND LEARN HOW TO PLOT THE STEPS TO REACH THEIR GOALS.
4 MAKE YOUTHS UNDERSTAND THE BENEFITS OF ANY JOB AND THE EXPERIENCES THAT ARE GAINED THROUGH A JOB.
5 MAKE YOUTHS KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE EFFECT OF DRUG ABUSE, RISKY SEXUAL BEHAVIOR, CULTISM AND MILITANCY
PARAMETERS OF THIS CONFERENCE:
This is going to be a one week conference which will run from 11am – 4pm each day.
The objective of this conference is to bring together all secondary school children across the local government area in Rivers state to discuss the way towards their future and to create in them a sense of belonging.
This conference is free of charge but registration will be mandatory, transportation arrangements will be made available to youths coming from other L.G.A and also there is going to be lunch.
There will be give away prizes.
