DetailsAbout
To promote peace, non-violence and people to people dialogue, especially in the youngsters, CYDA (Formerly The Youth-Pakistan) in association with many other organizations organized its 1st, 2nd & 3rd Indo-Pak Students' Peace Camps with participation of several youngsters from different cities of Pakistan & India, with guests from Pakistan living in families of local host students.

Organizers of the Indo-Pak Peace Camp believe in promoting sustainable peace on the subcontinent that counts young people from both India and Pakistan as members. For which continuity in contacts is essential for better understanding and removal of misgivings. The differences should be understood and not fought. People of the region shared thousands of years of history, heritage, traditions, but vested interests in both countries have focused on the events of the past five decades only.

After the success of Indo-Pak Students Peace Camps, CYDA-Pakistan intends to organize its 4th Indo-Pak Students' Peace Camp in Pune (Maharashtra, India) from October 2-8, 2009, thus, promoting the spirit of peace, non-violence, tolerance, forgiveness and brotherhood.

This camp is being organized in collaboration with CYDA-India and many other organizations. This event is organized for students and/or youth of 17-25 years. The aim of this event is to promote peace particularly between Pakistan and India. A number of mixed group activities shall take place; no lengthy and boring lectures would be made.

The benefits of Student's Peace Camps are many. They are well-covered media events which focus the community's attention on non-violence issues. They are a catalyst for people to get involved in their community and make a difference. They energize those who are already engaged in good causes because the people recognize they are not alone in their endeavor. They bring families together. They promote positive life skills.

Travel plan for the delegates from Pakistan to Pune and back will be with simple traveling and will take long hours of journey but will be quite interesting and adventurous for the youngsters.

Detailed information will be available on our website (www.cydapakistan.org) shortly including the registration forms, etc or interested youngsters may contact us at info@cydapakistan.org; CC: cydapakistan@gmail.com for obtaining registration forms or for any information, suggestions and/or comments by writing their name(s) in the subject blank i.e. "[4IPSPC] Kamran Ali".
