You are invited to join church leaders, preachers, and teachers from across the country who minister in the African-American context as we explore the 2009 Black Church Conference theme, ‘‘Power Connection: A Call to Greater Works’’ (John 14:12).
As disciples ministering in the midst of challenges faced in black communities--violence, educational disparities, poor housing, and the health care crisis----the lived experience of our Christian witness through works has never been more critical. If we believe--compelled by God’s love and empowered by the Holy Spirit--we, like first-century Christians, will do the impossible and turn this world upside down! We will reap the harvest in an ever-changing, challenging, and burgeoning mission field!
