Are you preparing your students to be global citizens?

Are your students curious about the global issues that will be discussed during the next G-20 Summit?

President Obama, along with the leaders of 21 other countries and the EU, will travel to Pittsburgh in September for the G-20 Summit. One week in advance of the Summit, students from across the region will have the opportunity to participate in their own Pittsburgh G-20 Student Summit, presented by the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. Students will interact directly with experts concerning key G-20 agenda topics; debate global policies from the diverse perspectives of G-20 members; and discuss their findings with both live and virtual audiences.

The Pittsburgh G-20 Student Summit will include:

*Participation at Fox Chapel Area High School Summit Headquarters or as Satellite Delegations via interactive webcast or video conference.
*A panel discussion and Q & A session with noted speakers on economic development, energy, and the environment.
*Breakout sessions representing all G-20 members. Students will analyze a policy scenario in small groups with the expert guidance of a delegation facilitator.
*A moderated discussion in which groups will share their ideas.

AND continued learning through an online discussion of G-20 topics as well as ongoing live and virtual events during the school year.
