UEnd is challenging all schools and students from Elementary through to High School to join the Give up a Gift Challenge. Students join their school “Team” in asking friends and family to give them a UEnd gift instead of another shiny-sparkly-thing-a-ma-jiggy this holiday season. 100% of those funds go directly to projects on the UEnd site and help end *extreme poverty.
1. Have a student from your school setup your school team on uend.org/dt/giveupagift. That student will be the team admin, so choose wisely. Name your school using the format "Cityname: Schoolname" (e.g. Calgary: Western Canada High).
2. After the school is live on the site, students can add their personal profiles and join their school team.
3. Then you just send your personal profile URL to everyone and ask them to buy you UEnd this holiday.
What do you win?
Bragging rights! You will be announced as the “World Changey-est School”! People will shout your school’s name from the rooftops, celebrating all the good you have done in our world! The Dalai Lama will want to have tea with you and ask your advice on how he can become a better person. We may even get your school a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize (ok, that part’s a lie). But you will be touted as the school that cares the most about changing this world of ours!
Seriously though, we are making arrangements to get your victory announced on local TV and have your chosen representatives interviewed – so don’t eat too much turkey over the holiday. And we will post a 3 minute video your school submits on our website homepage for the month of January. The topic: what message do you have for the world about how we can change things.s
