To promote youth to youth dialogue, Centre for Youth Development and Activities is organizing a week long program Youth Camp on Peace, Diversity, Plurality and Youth participation from 1ST -5th February 2010 in Pune. We plan to have around 50-60 Youth from the Asian Sub Continent between the age group of 18 to 25.
CYDA believe that promoting sustainable peace on the subcontinent that counts young people from India and its neighboring member countries is very important to bring young people together. The youth of today believes that the differences should be understood and not fought. People of this region shared thousands of years of history, heritage, traditions, but due to self interests this warmth and peace is being destroyed.
SAYC believes that youth are the catalyst for people to get involved in their community and make a difference. They energize those who are already engaged in good causes because the people recognize they are not alone in their endeavor. We believe that the youth is the torch bearer of the future and a youth to youth dialogue will bring about a cultural exchange of new idea’s.
Today there is an urgent need for the young people to come forward and to participate in the process of development in all the south Asian countries. Although there are youth initiatives all over, its important to bring the youth on a common platform to share their different views and ideas
The dialogue will focus on subjects such as Democracy & Good Governance, Gender Concerns, Diversity & Plurality, Youth Participation, Civil Society Movements Democracy and Violence will be discussed during the program. Eminent personalities will address the youth on the themes.
So this is an appeal to all the youth to come forward and
"Be The Catalyst to Change!"
