On the weekend of 20th/22nd July the youth climate summit 2001 is taking place in Bonn, parallel to the UN-conference on Climate Change held by the UNFCCC in Bonn also. The summit is organised by YOIS Europe (Youth for Intergenerational Justice and Sustainability - Europe) and AIESEC Local Committees in Bonn and Cologne.

The programme consists of a general part, in form of a panel discussion on the problem of climate change. Confirmed speakers are:

- ENERGY EFFICIENCY VS. SUFFICIENCY: technological possibilities, life style
- INSTRUMENTS: how to induce economy and society to act sustainable
