In conjunction with the 10th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP10), Conference of International Youth on Biodiversity 2010 in Aichi will take place to promote networking of youth in the world and to raise awareness of biodiversity.
Following the trend from Conference of International Youth before COP9 in 2008 as well as Conference of Asian Youth on Biodiversity in August 2009, the Conference of International Youth aims;
I: to deepen understanding of young people about conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and to raise awareness among them to be responsible for the next generation,
II: to foster leadership to be responsible for the next generation by supply opportunities for them to participate in international debate and activities, and
III: to promote networking of international youth and mutual understanding among them. |
