The Global Youth Leadership Conference is a 5 day programme which is designed to shed some light on the nature of citizenship for young people in an inter-connected world visa vis human rights issues.
The goal of the Youth Conference is to stimulate new thinking and new knowledge on the various ways in which young people and their transition to adulthood are affected by a range of global and transnational processes (economic, political, Conflict and peace, technological, cultural, legal, sexuality etc.) that affect their livelihoods, education, job opportunities, political aspirations, and identities.
The Youth Conference also aims to take an analytical and empirically driven perspective on these forces and look at the ways they are changing the conditions in which young people act and imagine their futures. |
