The Sommerhochschule organizes an International Summer Program every year from the middle of July to the middle of August. The International Summer Program 2011 will take place from July 16th to August 13th. We offer academic lectures about Europe ("European Studies") from different fields, including Law, Political Science, Economics, History, Art, Music, Human Rights as well as German language courses.
Given the international and interdisciplinary aspect of the International Summer Program our course offerings are, without question, of interest for students from all fields of study, but certainly of special interest for students who concentrate on Europe or study one of the following fields:
European Studies, Cultural Studies, History, International Relations, Interdisciplinary Studies, Law (International Law, European Law, Comparative Law), Political Science and German.
Application deadline for regular applications is April 30, 2011. But we also offer a limited number of partial scholarships for the International Summer Program every year. As the deadline for this scholarship applications is approaching fast, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that there are still scholarships available for which students from your university could apply.
The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need. In order to receive a scholarship students have to proof their financial need by stating their financial situation and submitting related documents.
All applications for scholarships must reach the office of the International Summer Program by February 28, 2011.
Scholarship applications have to include the completed form for financial assistance and all other required documents to proof the information given in your statement of your financial situation (e.g. pay-slip, statement of account). The form should be confirmed and signed by the student's dean or employer. Students applying for scholarships do not have to submit the deposit with their application.
Please note that scholarship students have to attend and complete at least three non-language courses, otherwise they will not receive financial assistance. German Course can only be taken in addition to those three non-language courses.
For further information or special requests please contact the Program Coordinator, Ms. Nina Gruber, at sommerhochschule@univie.ac.at |
